Jake Robert Cooper

Jake Robert Cooper came into our lives on August 3, 2007. Jake was an amazing gift from God and a blessing to everyone who knew him. Jake was an energetic, funny, witty, kind, and happy boy. He loved to make people laugh and have a good time.

Jake had many roles in which he excelled. He was mentor to younger kids and loved to teach them about sports. He was a brother who adored his sisters and would drop everything to do something fun with them. He was a friend who could always bring a smile to your face. He was a teammate who would be your biggest fan. He was a Son, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, and Friend who was adored and loved beyond measure.

On March 22, 2020, Jake left us for Heaven. Jake went to sleep the night before and never woke up. Jake was his normal, crazy self the night before, playing video games and making music videos with his sisters. He was healthy. Jake's death to date is unexplained. SUDC is the sudden unexplained death in children.

Jake's family and friends want his legacy and memory to live on, to never forget this sweet, loving, amazing boy who's life here on earth was entirely too short. Jake had many passions but baseball made the top of the list. He LOVED the game. Jake's Way was founded as a way to ensure Jake's legacy and love for the game lives on. Jake's Way will help children be able to play sports, have appropriate equipment, and be part of a team no matter their income or hardship they may endure.
